The Customer Is Always...Ignored?
When big brands let you down, the eBay girlies pull through.

Lately, it feels like customer service has become a dying art. I just went through an infuriating back-and-forth with my phone provider—after crediting me for months for trading in my old device, they suddenly claimed they never received it. Conveniently, this change of heart came after the UPS tracking window had expired. And just like that, hundreds of dollars they owed me evaporated. Their reps were dismissive, unhelpful, and clearly trained more in corporate stonewalling than actual support.
This kind of experience makes you question where you spend your money. When even the biggest companies can’t be trusted to honor their own programs, you start to look elsewhere—not just for better prices, but for better people.
And funny enough, that’s exactly what happened when I finally found the work bag I’ve been hunting for (no it was not the Toteme but thanks for your support on that potential purchase 🫂). I scored a Celine 16 Sac in large—which, if you know, is almost impossible to find secondhand since they only made it for a short period of time (shoutout to @luxpetite for her very helpful YouTube review/size comparison). I got the bag on eBay from a small seller who was communicative, thoughtful, and genuinely cared that the bag got to me safely. The experience was seamless, and honestly, kind of healing? She was such a girls girl and shared my appreciation for the work of art that is this bag.
It reminded me why I love shopping secondhand. It’s not just the thrill of the find, but the fact that these sellers still treat their craft with pride. There's a level of trust, personalization, and human touch that’s sorely missing from most big-box or corporate experiences today.
Maybe the future of shopping isn’t about the newest model or fastest upgrade. Maybe it’s about finding the people who still give a damn.
Anyways, here are this weeks finds from reliable businesses/sellers that do still give a damn about you (hopefully).

First up is this steal of a Prada backpack from one of NYC’s best curated secondhand shops, Designer Revival. They are very active on Instagram and will ALWAYS answer your questions about their insane stock during their insane sales.
Next is a fan favorite from MY favorite shop. This Gucci Jackie from Foreign Objects is under $500 and guaranteed to be authenticated to the tee from this California based shop. I have had incredible experiences with Foreign Objects support and friends have raved about the level of detail they provide in the Q&A part of their TikTok lives. Will always be raving about them! (And about Jackie as this IS one of the classiest bags to ever exist).
This vintage Celine tote that is basically free (I have a 10% off coupon LMK if you want it). This was a contender for my work bag search but the strap drop is not large enough for me. Will comfortably fit a laptop and comes from one of the best Japanese sellers, Brand Street Tokyo. 20k+ sales at almost 5 stars. That is kind of unbelievable? At this price even if you DO have to pay duties/tariffs, it would still be a steal!
Goodwill South California proving to be easier to navigate than the shopgoodwill website itself with this Prada Nylon east west bag. Great reviews, will DEFO scour this seller for you guys more in the coming weeks!
Lastly, switching it up from the black vibes above, an LV Pochette for less than $350. Another reputable Japanese site named Brandear. 30k+ sales and almost 5 stars? Will be deepdiving here for you guys next week too! Let me do some research into duties/tariffs too because we need a definitive answer if we can and should be ordering from there???
